Description

The Contractor’s Act is necessary because:

  • Installation of a new inlet (Electrical Installation Technical Inspection Report)
  • Inspection of the existing inlet (Technical Inspection Certificate for Electrical Installations, when the permissible use capacity of the electrical installation is increased or decreased without reconstruction works)

To obtain a contractor’s key, you need to apply to qualified persons. The specialist or certified company must have the relevant certificates according to ESO standards (licences issued by VERT).

The Contractor’s Act provides official confirmation that the electricity network at your site will be fully prepared and in full working order and can be connected to the ESO network.

Why does ESO require a Contractor’s certificate confirming the quality of the installed internal network?

A certified electrician / or a certified company will check the technical condition of the installed electrical equipment and the internal electrical wiring in your facility. Upon completion of this, it shall submit the Contractor’s act to ESO, confirming that the technical condition of the installed electrical equipment meets the requirements set out in Clause161of the Description of the Procedure for Connection of Electricity Generators and Consumers to the Electricity Grid:

  1. 161.Consumers whose electrical equipment has a voltage of less than 1000 V shall, at their own expense, carry out internal electrical installation and other electrical installation (reconstruction) works on their premises up to the property boundary with the operator’s electricity network, prepare the technical documents necessary for the performance of these works and obtain a certificate of inspection of the technical condition of electrical equipment from a contractor certified in accordance with the procedure laid down by the legislation (Annex 1 to the Regulations), confirming that the technical condition of the electrical installations owned or otherwise legally managed by the consumer, including those under common ownership, complies with the requirements of the legislation, and submit it to the distribution system operator.

You will be informed of the additional documents, if any, by a separate notification with a reason for the rejection, specifying which documents are missing.

  1. A design/schematic diagram of the installation of the electrical equipment on the site;
  2. A cadastral survey plan of the land parcel showing the route of the laid electricity cable (if the route has not been laid, please mark (write) on the cadastral survey plan of the land parcel that the new cable has not been laid), or the full photographs of the underground electricity engineering networks (if the land parcel is held under joint ownership and/or the electricity cable is laid outside the boundary of the parcel under ownership);
